No, a fost tăt fain frumos, vă mulțumim pentru tot!”

“Faculty, Family, Friends and fellow graduates,
I am very honored and humbled to have the chance to speak to you on this very special day. Thank you for granting me this opportunity!
Today we are obtaining a new profession, the noblest profession of them all. Medical doctor. From now on, it will be a central part of who we are. Because for me being a doctor is not only a profession, it is a way of living. A way of being.
And as we continue to grow and learn as doctors, I am sure each one of us will confront situations that will force us to think of the world in terms that aren’t simply black or white or even right or wrong. Therefore, we must strive to find beauty in this, at times unsettling, “gray” area. Because many times, the answer will be far away from simple, but then again simple is also not what we signed up for.

Also in medical school, we’ve been trained to think strictly like doctors. I sincerely hope we also don’t forget to think like humans. Because in the end, the practice of medicine is a deeply personal and human experience. It is indeed a demanding profession but at the same time also the most rewarding one. Where the end result is renewed life for our patients, free from pain, suffering and fear that any illness may burden us with.

The Father of Medicine Hippocrates quoted: “Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also love of Humanity”. I am sure that all of us here today can connect to this quote. I truly believe that our choice of medicine was not an accident. Because I think medicine is nothing without love for humanity.
At last I would also like to show my appreciation and gratitude towards certain people. First, I want to thank the Rector, the Dean, all of our teachers and mentors at our beloved university for doing their best to provide us with the best possible education. Also, I would like to thank our families for all the love and care they provided us with, for standing along us through this amazing journey.
Finally, I would also like to thank all of you who are gathered here today. It is a tremendous joy to share with you this very special moment. We all should be very proud of ourselves. We deserve it!
I salute you my dear fellow doctors from here on a bright future. Let’s go out there and make a difference!
